He has over 30 years experience within the fire sector having trained and qualified as an inspector at The Fire Service College in Moreton-in-Marsh.  He became a Member of the Institute of Fire Engineers in 1994 and was registered by the Engineering Council UK as an Engineering Technician in 2009.  He has a Diploma in Fire Safety Studies (University of Central Lancashire) and a National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH).
